Terms & Services

These Terms & Services (“Terms”) govern the provision of services by [AudreyChou. Studio] (“Service Provider,” “I,” or “me”) to clients (“Client,” “you,” or “your”). By engaging my services, you agree to the following:
1. Services
I offer creative and professional services including, but not limited to:
- Choreography & Movement Direction
- Directing & Artistic Consultation
- Interactive Technology Development
- Photo & Video Documentation
- Event Production & Project Management
- New Media Art Commissions
The scope of services will be outlined in a written proposal or agreement before the start of each project.
2. Fees & Payment
- Fees are agreed upon in advance and may be calculated on a project basis, hourly rate, or day rate.
- A deposit (typically 30–50%) may be required to confirm bookings.
- The balance is due within [7 / 14 / 30] days of invoice unless otherwise stated in writing.
- Late payments may incur a fee of [20%] per week until paid in full.
3. Booking & Cancellation
- Bookings are confirmed only once the deposit is received.
- Cancellations by the Client within [7] days of the scheduled start date may result in forfeiture of the deposit.
- Rescheduling is subject to availability and may require an adjustment in fees.
- If I must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, I will refund any deposit received and assist in finding an alternative solution where possible.
4. Client Responsibilities
- Clients are expected to provide accurate project details, clear communication, and necessary materials (e.g., scripts, music, technical requirements, space access).
- For photo/video documentation, Clients are responsible for securing rights/permissions for all subjects and locations.
- For event production or technical projects, Clients are responsible for venue, equipment rentals, permits, and insurance unless otherwise agreed.
5. Intellectual Property
- Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- I retain copyright to all original creative works (choreography, direction, new media art, technical designs).
- Clients are granted a license to use final deliverables (e.g., photo/video, performance) solely for the agreed purpose.
- Raw files, working documents, and prototypes remain my property unless purchased separately.
6. Credit & Attribution
- Appropriate credit must be given in all public uses, programs, websites, or press materials (e.g., “Choreography by [Yi-Han ( Audrey ) Chou]”).
- For collaborative projects, I may feature the work in my portfolio, website, and promotional materials, unless explicitly restricted in writing.
7. Liability
- While I take great care in delivering professional work, I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from project use or performance.
- Clients assume responsibility for any risks related to physical activity (in choreography/direction) or live event settings.
8. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive project details, unless disclosure is required by law or mutually agreed upon.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [New York / United States]. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of [United States].
10. Updates
I reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The most current version will always be posted on my website.
