Unfixed Form @Immersive Labs in Taipei x SAT (The Society for Arts & Technology, Montréal) C-LAB Future Vision Lab
The program is part of the Labos Immersifs / Immersive Labs initiative, originally developed by AADN (Lyon, France) as a hybrid format between an artistic residency and a co-creation laboratory. The initiative was designed to foster experimentation, collaborative production, and knowledge exchange among artists working across immersive and audiovisual disciplines.
As one of the selected artist, I worked within a group of 5 in total to create a 10 min Audio-Visual performance piece: Unfixed Form.
Unfixed Forms takes three distinct material states—environmental geology, fermentation, and digital generation—and brings them together within a shared immersive perceptual space.
At Shitiping, natural rock formations have undergone processes of sedimentation, compression, uplift, and erosion, eventually giving rise to the landscape visible today. The organic sounds produced through environmental fermentation and microscopic life document another form of transformation that remains continuously in progress. Meanwhile, images generated through artificial intelligence and real-time computation allow the seemingly still landscape to re-enter states of deformation, proliferation, and flow.
